3M™ Bus Bar Heat Shrink Tubing BBI is a flame retardant tubing that provides reliable protection and insulation for 5 to 35 kV rated applications. The cross linked polyolefin construction is split and solvent resistant while offering good tracking resistance. It offers a tight fit for rectangular, square or round bus bars.
Identify the wires you're working with quickly when you cover them with red 3M™ Bus Bar Heat Shrink Tubing BBI-3A. It fits snugly around square, rectangular or round bus bars to provide reliable insulation of inline bolted connections, with an insulation level of 110 to 125 kV that's able to withstand damaging power surges. Use industry-standard methods to heat shrink this tubing over copper, aluminum and metal-enclosed bus bars, as well as substation and metal-clad switchgear, and you end up with an aesthetically appealing cover that lets you use color-coding to call out the type of wire.
